Springfield LEGO Users Group (SGFLUG) is a community of Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) who enjoy building, talking shop, and hanging out with people who understand why a pile of bricks can still make your day. We’re based in Springfield, Missouri, and while the group is centered around adults, members are welcome to bring their own teens or kids who share the hobby.
We meet once a month at rotating spots around town (usually a library) to keep things accessible for everyone. There’s no membership checklist, no minimum collection, and no pressure to show up with a masterpiece — bring a project, bring a handful of parts, or just bring yourself. Meetings are big enough to be inspiring but small enough that you actually get to know the people across the table.
Whether you’re into detailed MOCs, Technic builds, minifig mods, city layouts, or you’re just rediscovering LEGO as an adult, you’ll find people here who get it. SGFLUG also teams up for public displays throughout the year, sharing our builds with the Springfield community. If you’re new to the AFOL world, you’re in good company. SGFLUG, the Springfield LEGO Users Group was founded in 2018, in Springfield, MO by Bri Duncan. Our first meeting was attended by Bri, Karyn O’Dell and her son Raiden. We have since grown far beyond these numbers!
